Incidence Data

Due to receiving data from different sources, we do not have incidence rates for all geography, cancer site, age, and race/ethnicity combinations. Incidence data is available for all combinations except where noted below.

• American Indian or Alaska Native data for the following states are not available:
  • Illinois
  • Kansas
  • New Jersey
  • New York
• Data not available for Puerto Rico for the following racial/ethnic groups:
  • American Indian or Alaska Native
  • Asian, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
  • Black or African American
  • Hispanic, white Hispanic, and white non-Hispanic
  • White
• Data are not available for Indiana and are not included in the US total for incidence.
• Puerto Rico statistics are not included in the USA total.

Demographic Data

We receive most of our demographic data from the Census Bureau, we do not have demographic statistics for all geography, age, and race/ethnicity combinations. Median Family Income and Median Household Income is not available for Asian/Pacific Islanders. For more information on their data availability and suppression rules, please reference the American Community Survey Documentation technical documentation.

Note: Since this website still uses Connecticut counties instead of planning regions for consistency of geographies across data topics, data are not available for insurance related statistics from SAHIE/Census. If/when all data sources have new planning regions, then this website will switch to using them and we will present SAHIE statistics by planning region.

Screening & Risk Factors

Our Youth Risk Behavioral Surveillance System data is not available for all states. For more information on which states have data, please reference the YRBSS Obesity Fact Sheet.
